Beige Denim Tote Bag, Upcycled One-of-a-Kind with Stripe Handles. Medium size. 007:2 Boro
Medium size tote bag made from offcuts of a gorgeous thick and soft oatmeal denim complemented with colourful cream, pink, rust and blue stripe handles. This bag design is completed with an internal pocket and D-ring for attaching your keys - a sturdy practical bag for carrying all your essentials for work, shopping, travel or holidays.
I made three bags from the last few pieces of beige denim fabric leftover from making pottery aprons. The stripey webbing colours work so perfectly with the subtle tone of the beige denim. It's very strong webbing, sewn on to the bag with a 'cross-box' to strengthen it further. Each of these aprons is a one-of-a-kind piece.

ABOUT: Working in my studio in hilly-leafy South-East London, I make aprons in small batches using cotton canvas, denim or drill - fabrics that are natural, washable and durable. Careful attention to detail, strength of construction and beautiful stitching result in a quality of finish simply not possible in mass production. I cut fabric economically, minimising waste and saving the small remnants to make one-of-a-kind bags for my ‘Boro Collection’.
