Large Tote Bag with Stripe Handles. One-of-A-Kind Boro Upcycled Oatmeal Denim 007:1
Large one-of-a-kind tote bag made from a lovely thick but soft denim in a beige oatmeal colour with a pale reverse side: the strong cotton webbing handles have woven cream, pink, rust and blue stripes. This very roomy bag design is completed with an inside pocket and D-ring for attaching your keys - it's large size and sturdy construction make it a practical bag for work, shopping, travel and holidays.
I made three bags from the last few pieces of beige denim fabric leftover from making pottery aprons. The stripey webbing colours work so perfectly with the subtle tone of the beige denim; it's very strong webbing, sewn on to the bag with a 'cross-box' to strengthen it further. Each of these bags is a one-of-a-kind piece.

ABOUT: Working in my studio in hilly-leafy South-East London, I make aprons in small batches using cotton canvas, denim or drill - fabrics that are natural, washable and durable. Careful attention to detail, strength of construction and beautiful stitching result in a quality of finish simply not possible in mass production. I cut fabric economically, minimising waste and saving the small remnants to make one-of-a-kind bags for my ‘Boro Collection’.
