Undyed Canvas Apron with Royal Blue Adjustable Straps. Pleated Split Leg Pinafore No25
Taking inspiration from heritage artists smocks & workwear this beautiful apron is very much designed for the needs of the modern maker. The overall shape gives great coverage, in particular the pleated skirt and split leg allows extra movement and ensures your legs are always covered when sitting at the wheel or work bench. The gorgeously thick soft canvas, with its tiny flecks of cotton seed, combines beautifully with deep Royal blue straps. The adjustable cross back straps offer a perfect fit whether that's a loose easy-fit or a more snug feel. A good size bib pocket and two skirt pockets provide plenty of space for tools and phone. Rigorously designed & tested, skillfully sewn, made-to-last, this apron is highly specialised craftsperson's workwear.

ABOUT: This No25:1 design came about from requests from clients who loved the pleats of the No14:2 apron but wanted an easy-fit crossback style. It took several years to complete this design including experimenting with different fabrics which offer a softer drape than the slightly stiffer canvas I normally use.
Working in my studio in hilly-leafy South-East London, I make aprons in small batches using cotton canvas, denim or drill - fabrics that are natural, washable and durable. Careful attention to detail, strength of construction and beautiful stitching result in a quality of finish simply not possible in mass production. I cut fabric economically, minimising waste and saving the small remnants to make one-of-a-kind bags for my ‘Boro Collection’.
